About James Alburger:

You already know that James is the author of what has become the primary reference book on voice acting. But what you may not know is that James has had a home studio since the age of 12! And that was a long time before most people had ever dreamed of doing voiceover work from home. James has been working as an audio production and systems engineer for almost 50 years and has designed and pre-engineered two television audio production control rooms, an on-location audio truck for TV remote programs, the audio facilities for VoiceActing, LLC (The Commercial Clinic studios), and the audio equipment set-ups for the VoiceOver International Creative Experience (VOICE) conferences.

There is only a handful of people in the voiceover community who can truly claim to be experts in home studio design and implementation, and James Alburger is one of them!
