Improvisation during a VO session is one of the best things you can do to make your performance real and more believable. Karly Rothenberg was an absolute “Smash Hit” at VOICE 2008, so we’ve invited her back to reprise her “Improv Madness” creative session. Karly will not only show you was to open up the creative side of your performance, but you’ll have an opportunity to explore and experience new ways to approach your voiceover work that will open a world of improvisational possibilities. “Improv Madness” truly puts the Creative Experience into VOICE.
ABOUT KARLY ROTHENBERG:
Karly Rothenberg, long time student and protégée to the late Avery Schreiber, carries on his legacy, per his wishes, teaching Avery Schreiber's methodologies and revolutionary approach to Improv as it was handed down to him by the legendary Viola Spolin, who's improvisational technique is used all over the world.
Karly is well known for her open approach to Improv and teaches currently at her alma mater, The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in Los Angeles. She is also a guest faculty member for Cal State University Northridge.
Karly is also a highly accomplished and successful on-camera talent appearing in recurring roles on several current TV sitcoms and dramas such as The Office and Pushing Daisies as well as the Showtime original series, Weeds. She is also one of the voices of a recent Happy California Cow TV commercial as well as numerous others.
