Have you worked successfully in the theatre and struggled with characters in front of the mic?  Do you love animation, but feel lost with commercial copy? Are you an announcer that feels lost when they ask you to do a character? Do you sometimes just feel LOST?

Ever heard someone say to you, “Make it more conversational!  It sounds too readeey!  Who are you talking to”???  “Give me a different read!”  “Make it Flat! Ironic!  Oops, you lost the Energy!“  “Give me an Announcer, but make it not too announcery, Conversational!!!!  Friendly, but not too Sweet!”

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Melody Jones is very happy to bring her over 30 years of acting experience to you so that you can actually learn step by step how to take a piece of copy, analyze it, develop a character, and learn the journey of the copy.  Even the most boring of copy has twists and turns, and Melody is here to explain all the tips, tricks, and physical skills that help make that piece of copy come to life with a REAL character delivering the read!  I will show you how to make it sound conversational, real, ironic, flat, add emotional improv, and much, much more.

      • Knowing the Journey of the COPY:
      • What is your Product?
      • What is the tone of the copy?
      • Who are You?
      • How do you choose a character?
      • Development of that character!
      • Who are you talking to?
      • What is your intention?
      • How do you give different reads on the same copy?
      • Learning a skill set to make your reads…….MAGIC!
      • ACTING! ACTING! ACTING!

This will be an interactive class where you will have the opportunity to step up to the mic … read … and LEARN!

Remember:  Voiceovers are not about the Voice, but about the ACTING!
