Hey, it's all about playing a character no matter what type of copy you are reading! This seminar will run the gamut! This is NOT a lecture - this is a total participation with improvisation seminar - and we cover all kinds of copy - commercials, games, animation... and its guaranteed to extend your performing range.
One of the most powerful ways to discover the voice and express a character is through physical movement, yet for many, this is often one of the most difficult aspects of performing for voiceover.
MJ Lallo returns to VOICE 2010 with a completely new session that will help you discover more ways to uncover the characters within you. You’ll learn how to use physicalization (P), visualization (V), and music (M) to let go of your inhibitions, to feel comfortable and safe as you find voices and characters you never thought were inside you.

With more than 25 years as a performer, singer, writer, producer, director, voice actor, and voiceover coach, MJ Lallo is one of the busiest women in Hollywood for character voices and animation. She does it all: as a voice actor, coach, director, and producer! She’s done voices for Fox Kid’s Digimon, Disney’s “Lilo and Stitch” for Disney Parks, Universal Interactive, and many more. She’s voiced commercial work as well for Houghton Mifflin Books, IBM, 3M, Hitachi, Red Wings Shoes, TV Guide, GNC, and Infomercials for Guthy-Renker and ADR for Miramax, and Columbia Pictures.
As a casting director, MJ has cast VO artists from her multi-lingual Talent Roster for Cartoon Network, PBS Kids, DreamWorks, Miramax, Paramount, Warner Bros, Guthy Renker, Penguin Books, Simon & Schuster, Law and Order, Amgen, Invitrogen, Game Cues, Obisoft Games, Johnson & Johnsons 5 multi-lingual DVD’s on new product lines.
