Robert Sciglimpaglia is not only a voice actor, but he is also an on-camera actor and a practicing attorney with a unique understanding of the legal side of voiceover work. In his VOICE 2010 session, Robert will speak about the various structures to consider for setting up a small business - from LLC to Corporation, plus tax issues, etc. He will also discuss how to negotiate your fees to make sure you are fairly compensated for your work, and how to draft a simple contract .

During this interactive session, you will experience first hand what a typical negotiation might be like and hear some a real-life horror stories and actual cases that have occurred in the voiceover industry. You will also hear some examples of demos that present potentially serious copyright infringement issues.

Robert’s session is recommended for all levels of experience, but will be especially valuable for those who are well on their way to establishing a profitable voiceover career.

Robert Sciglimpaglia, Jr. is a practicing attorney, as well as voiceover artist and on-camera actor in the New York City area. He is also the owner of All in One Voice, LLC, (www.allinonevoice.com) a company that helps beginning and advanced voiceover artists and actors with business and legal issues. His course “You’re on the Air: How to Really Make it in Voice-overs” is taught throughout the NYC tri state area. Robert has appeared in numerous national voiceover projects, including commercials, promos, and narrations, plus on-camera appearances in programs airing on the Discovery Channel, the History Channel, and feature films “Enchanted” and “Music and Lyrics”.
