Making the Most of Corporate Narration

Intended for all levels of experience, especially those who have not explored the non-broadcast, corporate market.
This workshop will detail what goes into a corporate narration voiceover project and examine the difference between a corporate narration and narration for documentaries, books on tape, or children’s stories. The program will cover what clients’ expectations are and play some representative samples of corporate long form projects produced at Creative Media Recording. Participants will better understand the types of skills needed and the kinds of delivery expected with longer, corporate narrations. This will prepare the voice talent for the variety and types of issues that come up in a corporate VO session.
This workshop will dispel myths related to narration projects (that they might be dull or boring) and get voice actors excited about the opportunities available. Corporate narration projects are completed in every major city with a corporate or industrial base. This type of narration work is not seasonal and projects are completed Monday through Friday, 250 days a year. Narration demos can and should be targeted to appeal to the corporate producer. The different types of material and the types of reads that go into a narration demo will also be covered during this session.
ABOUT TIM KEENAN:
Tim Keenan is an award winning, industry veteran with over 30 years of voiceover recording experience at Creative Media Recording. In those 30 years, Tim has worked with some of the best voices and directors in the business for corporate clients such as Honda, Taco Bell, Beckman Coulter, PacifiCare, Allergen, Toyota, CareCredit and Yamaha Motors among others. He has worked on every type of “long form” project possible and the bulk of his studio’s business is audio production for corporate projects.
Tim also teaches a twice a year VO workshop at his Orange County, California recording studio with Sylvia Aimerito, a long time L.A. based voice talent.
